| Tusker boosts Harambee Stars squad National football team Harambee Stars received a surprise Sh3 million boost from a former big time sponsor, ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations Championship first round match against Tanzania's Taifa Stars. The sponsorship by Tusker was unveiled by Marketing Director Patricia Ithau. “We have decided to take up the patriotic role of supporting our national team as they move to the qualifying round of the African Nations Confederation Cup. Coach Jacob ‘Ghost' Mulee who received the sponsorship cheque from Ithau, said the support for his team was timely. “I believe that all this is all good for the game on Saturday. It's our responsibility now to make it happen. Tusker, Thank you very much,” said an excited Mulee. On Wednesday, Harambee Stars lost 1-0 to Kenya Premier League side Gor Mahia in a build-up match at the Nyayo National Stadium. The only goal of the match was scored by Habil Otieno in the 53rd minute when he beat Stars' goalkeeper Joseph Ruto on the far post with a low drive. Mulee was using the friendly to tune his side ahead of the tie with Tanzania on Saturday, at the Nyayo National Stadium.
